Oh look, knitting

The Sockapalooza 4 socks for my pal are done, just need to package them up with a few other goodies and send them off. I will be posting this week so they should arrive before 7 August. I hope she likes them! I decided to continue the stripes into the rib part at the top of the sock as otherwise the red would be too dominating - it really is quite bright. The brown tones it down quite nicely in the stripes but the heel and toe are pretty loud. The stripes are 3-round with the pick-up-the-stitch-below-and-knit-it-together jogless jog, which is not that jogless but I'm hoping that as I put the colour change on the insides of the legs it won't be that noticeable.
I'm also still working on the test knit of Snow White for Ysolda, I'm really behind :( but it's coming along. I've joined the body and sleeves and am about halfway through the yoke part. I'm following the pattern to the letter because it's a test knit but I can tell the sleeves are going to be very long on me - if I knit it again I will make them shorter. I'm really liking the seamless construction, though it does make it more difficult to work on in the car, which is why the socks are now finished!

I got the package today! The girls and I had to rip into it immediately! Addie wanted to open the chocolate and try out everything - she thinks the dolly is for her. Lily just sat on the couch and was sad because she couldn't scoot her butt off fast enough to get over to the unwrapping fest. She's only 1 1/2 so she got over it fast. I'll blog about it tonight or tomorrow!
